Program Details

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is a nutrition and breastfeeding program that helps eligible pregnant women, new mothers, babies and young children. 

WIC provides services to participants including:

  • One on one nutrition education.
  • Breastfeeding education and support.
  • Nutritious foods such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
  • Connections with community resources.
  • Referrals to health and other social services.

Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program

    • Listens to you
    • Contacts you during your pregnancy to answer questions about feeding your baby
    • Helps you prepare for having a new baby.
    • Answers breastfeeding questions or concerns after your baby is born.
    • Shows you how to get more help from other health care professionals.
