Our Mission
To promote, preserve, and strengthen the health, safety, and well-being of everyone who lives, works, learns, and plays in Crow Wing County.
The Crow Wing County Public Health Division is located in the Community Services Building located in Brainerd, MN. Our Public Health division serves all of Crow Wing County. We partner with communities to co-create solutions that reflect cultural values, lived experiences, and practical realities. There are many programs that Public Health has to offer the community:
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
- Family Home Visiting (FHV)
- Child and Teen Checkups (CT&C)
- Car Seat Program
- Follow Along Program (FAP)
- Cannabis and Substance Use Prevention (CSUP)
- Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP)
- Environmental Health
- Emergency Preparedness
At Crow Wing County Public Health, we are here to protect, promote, and improve the health and well-being of everyone in our community. Guided by the Foundations of Public Health, we focus on prevention, education, and equity to make Crow Wing County a healthier place to live, work, and grow. We strive to ensure everyone, no matter where they live or who they are, has the same chance to be healthy.

What We Do
Disease Prevention
We protect our community from illness through promoting immunizations, screenings, and outbreak response.
Health Education
We provide information and tools that help individuals and families live healthier lives—from nutrition and mental wellness to chronic disease prevention.
Community Support
We connect residents to programs and services that support family health, aging care, housing, and well-being.
Public Health Data & Planning
We monitor health trends and use local data to guide programs and improve outcomes in our neighborhoods.
