[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – NOVEMBER 19, 2018

Road Construction

County offices will be closed Thursday, November 22, 2018, and Friday, November 23, 2018, for Thanksgiving.

County maintenance crews will perform brush and tree removal activities in the road right of ways throughout the week on various County Roads including, CSAH 31 near Cuyuna and CSAH 77 near Baxter. In addition, County Roads 125 and 126 in the First Assessment District will also receive brushing maintenance. Chipping of the smaller brush will take place at the site. Crews will cut and place larger trees at the back of the road right of way for property owners.

County maintenance crews will be performing ditch maintenance work on CR 144, Monday & Tuesday and on CR 159 Wednesday.

Maintenance crews will be working in the ditch but may be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one or more lanes of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County maintenance crews will be patching potholes on various county roads on Monday. Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be present.

County snowplows are ready and on standby in the event of significant snowfall in Crow Wing County.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
