[ARCHIVED] County Highway Maintenance Work for the Week of December 18, 2017

give em a brake

County maintenance crews will continue brush and tree removal in the road right of ways on County Road 159, in Nokay Lake Township between North Nelson Road and Crooked Road and on County Road 3, in the City of Crosslake and Mission Township. Crews will also begin brushing activities on CSAH 18 in Lake Edward Township and in the City of Nisswa. Chipping of the smaller brush will take place at the site. The crews will cut and place larger trees at the back of the road right of way for property owners.

County maintenance crews may be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County maintenance crews will be patching potholes on various county roads on Monday and Thursday. Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be present.

County snowplows are ready and on standby in the event of significant snowfall in Crow Wing County.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
