[ARCHIVED] 2025 County Road Construction

Road Construction

The Crow Wing County Highway Department has scheduled for approximately $14 million worth of roadway improvements for 2025.  A summary is listed below and includes County State Aid Highways (CSAH), County Roads (CR) and improvements to unorganized territory town roads in the First Assessment District (FAD).

RESURFACING/REHABILITATION – TO BE CONSTRUCTED UNDER TRAFFIC

CSAH 1 from CSAH 66 in Manhattan Beach to Trunk Highway (TH) 6 in Emily.  Minor tree clearing will take place in the spring to allow for the installation of new right turn and bypass lanes as a part of the overall resurfacing project.

CSAH 2 from TH 25 to the Mille Lacs County line, crossing through the Townships of Daggett Brook, Platte Lake and Roosevelt.  The existing pavement will be reclaimed (ground-up) and serve as the base for the new pavement.

CR 108 from CSAH 22 to CSAH 8 located in Maple Grove Township.

CR 144 from TH 25 to TH 18, crossing through Long Lake and Oak Lawn Townships.  There will be two areas of subgrade correction and raising the grade of the roadway which will require a road closure with detours.

       FAD Road Resurfacing:

Golden Pond Drive                 Red Fern Trail

                 Jacksonville Drive                   Dianne Drive

                 Woodhaven Way                    Crown Hill Court

 OTHER PROJECTS

Intersection lighting will be installed at 18 locations throughout the County.

A MnDOT led project will replace the existing traffic signal at CSAH 48 and TH 210 in Baxter.

Annual Pavement Markings – county-wide striping of roadways

Annual Seal Coat Program – surface treatments to selected county and FAD roadways

Annual Culvert Lining – culvert rehabilitation at select areas

The starting date for the majority of the projects is dictated by spring weather conditions and contractor schedules.  The attached information is a very brief summary of the anticipated construction.  Please feel free to call the County Highway Department at (218) 824-1110 for additional information on the projects listed above or visit www.crowwing.gov/115/EngineeringConstruction for project updates.
