LOAN DEFICIENCY PAYMENTS FOR WOOL PRODUCERS
The deadline period to request loans and loan deficiency payments (LDP’s) on your 2011 crop year wool is January 31st, 2012. The wool must still be retained on your farm, or you must have proof of a previous sale, returned page 1 of the CCC-633EZ form to our office prior to selling, and filed a 2011 crop report. LDP’s are payments made to producers who, although eligible to obtain a loan, agree to forgo the loan in return for a payment on the eligible wool or unshorn pelt. The effective LDP rate for wool changes weekly and is currently at $0.00, but please contact our office to inquire about past rates if you sold your wool earlier in the year.
Wool producers are now authorized to apply for Loans or Loan Deficiency Payments (LDPs) for the upcoming 2012 crop year. Producers must complete page 1 of the CCC-633EZ form for the 2012 crop year and return to our office prior to shearing or selling. Once page 1 of the CCC-633EZ form is completed, the producer must request benefits by January 31st, 2013. Applications must be faxed or mailed by this date.
Producers can contact us for detailed information on the CCC-633EZ and eLDP options. The Crow Wing-Cass USDA-FSA office is located at 7118 Clearwater Road in Baxter (218)829-5965, and the Aitkin-Itasca USDA-FSA office is located at 130 Southgate Drive in Aitkin (218)927-2912.
