[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – MARCH 30, 2020

give em a brake

In response to County offices being closed to the public as an effort to flatten the curve and spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Highway Department remains committed to providing a safe and efficient transportation system. The public will still see highway staff performing roadway maintenance activities and major construction projects are planned to move forward as promised. As part of this effort our operators are practicing social distancing by not riding together in county vehicles. You may see extra vehicles on job sites and in areas where maintenance is being performed.

Seasonal spring road load limit weight restrictions are in effect on all county roads.

County maintenance crews will be performing tree trimming operations along CSAH 4, CSAH 1, CSAH 10 and on various roads with leaning trees throughout the week.

County maintenance crews will be patching potholes on various county roads throughout the week. Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be present.

County snowplows are prepared and ready if snow or ice conditions are present. We anticipate having trucks out Sunday.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.

For further information on the county highway system, or to report a roadway issue, please contact the Highway Department at (218) 824-1110 or visit our Crow Wing County website at http://www.crowwing.us.
