[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – MAY 20, 2019

Traffic warning

County maintenance crews will continue crack sealing CR 124 in Baylake Township and CSAH 33 in Crosby/Ironton early in the week. Crews will begin crack sealing CR 111 in Deerwood Township later in the week.

Contracted crack sealing crews will continue/begin crack sealing CR 121 and CSAH 45 in Daggett Brook and St. Mathis Townships throughout the week.

Maintenance crews will be working in the drive lane and on the shoulders simultaneously, creating the need to close one or more lanes of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County maintenance crews will be patching potholes on various county roads throughout the week. Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be present.

Motor graders will smooth gravel roads in the NE gravel area of the County later in the week. Motorists should watch for the slow moving graders when traveling on gravel county roads.

Road limit weight restrictions are in effect until Tuesday, May 28, 2019 for CR 105, CR 106, CR 141, SAD roads and CSAH 36, east of Hwy 6 due to sub-soil saturation and frost boils.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
