The Crow Wing County Highway Department applied for and received federal funding to allow for the reconstruction of County Sate Aid Highway (CSAH) 36 from CSAH 37 to County Road (CR) 114. The project is scheduled for construction in 2015.
To enable us to meet federal requirements and timelines, survey work will commence this fall and continue through the winter and upcoming years on this section of roadway. This will involve surveying out of the existing right-of-way limits (on private property) to collect topography data, property corners, section corners, wetland limits, and soil samples. No property damage should result from these surveys. Survey markers and lath will be put in the ground to aid in the survey and we ask that you please do not disturb them. Personnel on site will be working on and near the roadway much of the time and we ask that you drive cautiously when signs and/or flashing lights are present. This letter is meant as a written notice of said work.
Once a plan is determined and construction limits are set, information regarding the right-of-way acquisition process will be sent to affected property owners. The right-of-way process will likely take place in 2014, but we encourage any owners with specific concerns to please contact us at any time.
Thank you for your cooperation as we proceed with the design phase of this project. Upcoming public meetings will be held in the future to discuss the project.
