[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – MAY 6, 2019

Road work ahead


County maintenance crews will continue crack sealing CSAH 2 in Daggett Brook Township and begin crack sealing operation on CSAH 30 in Wolford Township throughout the week.

Contracted crack sealing crews will continue/begin crack sealing CSAH 28 & CR 102 in Irondale Township and CSAH 9 & 44 in Daggett Brook Township throughout the week.

Maintenance crews will be working in the drive lane and on the shoulders simultaneously, creating the need to close one or more lanes of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County maintenance crews will be patching potholes on various county roads throughout the week. Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be present.

Motor graders will level and shape gravel roads throughout the County during the week. Shoulder reclaiming will be performed on gravel roads in the northeast region and SAD areas of the County. Motorists should watch for the slow moving graders and tractors when traveling on gravel county and FAD roads.

Seasonal road load limit weight restrictions are in effect. All roads are posted and will be enforced. Most roads will have restrictions removed Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
