[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – FEBRUARY 23, 2018

Road work ahead

County maintenance crews will continue brush and tree removal in the road right of ways on County Road 159, in Oak Lawn Township between North Nelson Road and State Highway 18.

County crews will begin brushing activities on County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 18, in Lake Edward Township between CSAH 4 and Clark Lake Road.

Chipping of the smaller brush, cutting and placing larger trees at the back of the road right of way for property owners will take place at both sites.

County maintenance crews may be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County maintenance crews will be patching potholes on various county roads on Monday and Friday. Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be present.

County crews will be removing snow along CSAH 11 in Pequot Lakes early Monday or Tuesday, depending on the weather.

County snowplows are ready and on standby in the event of significant snowfall in Crow Wing County.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
