[ARCHIVED] COUNTY HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK OF – JANUARY 8, 2018

Traffic warning

County maintenance crews will continue brush and tree removal in the road right of ways on County Road 159, in Nokay Lake Township between North Nelson Road and Crooked Road and on County Road 3, in Mission Township. Crews will also begin brushing activities on CSAH 8 in Baylake Township near the Clearwater Lake Access. Chipping of the smaller brush will take place at the site. The crews will cut and place larger trees at the back of the road right of way for property owners.

County maintenance crews may be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.

County snowplows are ready and on standby in the event of significant snowfall in Crow Wing County.

Mowing of vegetation in County ditches will also take place in the Pine Center and Brainerd areas.

All maintenance work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
