County offices will
be closed Thursday and Friday of this week in observance of Thanksgiving but
highway maintenance workers will be available to respond to road emergencies.
County maintenance
crews will begin brush and tree removal in the road right of ways on County
Road 159, in Nokay Lake Township between Crooked Road and Nokay Hall Road and
on County Road 107, in the Cities of Nisswa and Pequot Lakes. Chipping of the smaller
brush will take place at the site. The crews will cut and place larger trees at
the back of the road right of way for property owners.
County maintenance
crews will be working on one travel lane and shoulder simultaneously, creating
the need to close one lane of traffic. Signing, flaggers or portable traffic
lights will control the traffic flow through these work areas.
County maintenance
crews will be patching potholes on various county roads on throughout the week.
Crews will be pulling over and stopping frequently on the shoulders of the
roads, to perform the patching work. Loose patching material debris may be
present.
County snowplows
are ready and on standby in the event of significant snowfall in Crow Wing
County.
All maintenance
work is weather sensitive and is subject to delay or change.
