Due to the winter storm and the wet heavy snowfall on Friday, many
trees along CSAH 4, 19, 3 and County Road 118 are leaning out close to or into
the roadway. The Crow Wing County Highway
Department is notifying road users of the potential hazards associated with
these leaning trees. The trees may
obstruct sight distances, obstruct a portion of the drive lane and potentially
require motorists to slow down or even stop to navigate the road. Please be aware of these leaning trees by
being alert and not driving distracted.
As the snow melts the trees should return to their upright position. Tree cleanup for fallen or nuisance leaning trees will
take place when snow and ice removal on county roads is complete.
