Community Corrections

Crow Wing County Community Corrections(CWCCC) is working with offenders in the community using evidence based practices to repair harm caused by the offender and reduce probability of re-offending in the future.

Juvenile Probation

CWCCC probation agents supervise juveniles between the ages of 10 and 18, placed on probation by the courts. Traditional probation provides structured supervision of juveniles in the community. Probation agents also oversee Extended Juvenile Jurisdiction (EJJ) dispositions which supervision is designed to be intensive to enhance public safety and address risk/needs area.

Adult Probation

CWCCC probation agents in Community Corrections build relationships with adult offenders, implement case plans to restore law abiding behaviors and address community safety. The implementation of evidence based practices and the use of motivational interviewing while completing risk/need assessment tools is essential for developing person-centered case plans.

Drug Court

CWCCC probation agents work with a multidisciplinary team to complete case planning with high risk drug offenders to target high risk criminogenic risk/needs in order to support sobriety and promote life changes. 

DWI Court

CWCCC probation agents work within this specialty arena with a multidisciplinary team and use evidence base practices to support change with offenders and target high risk/needs behaviors.

Supervised Release

The supervised release unit supervises adult clients placed on supervised release from a state correctional facility (Stillwater, Faribault, Rush City, St Cloud, Oak Park Heights, Shakopee, Togo, Moose Lake/Willow River). The Minnesota Department of Corrections Hearings and Release Unit (HRU) is the governing authority. CWCCC staff work with facilities to develop release plans and monitor supervision upon client's return to the community.
