Recycling symbols on plastics do not mean they can be recycled. *The code number on the bottom of plastic packaging is often mistaken as a guide to the recyclability of the plastic. The code on the bottom is a “Resin Identification Code” that identifies the type of plastic that is used to produce the packaging. Not all types of plastic can be recycled. Please refer to the "What can be recycled in Crow Wing County" flyer.

Recycling At Crow Wing County Recycling Locations
These sites provide recycling containers for recyclable material generated by the residents of Crow Wing County. When the bins are full, they are hauled to a recycling center in the Minneapolis where the material is sorted.
Recycling Properly in Crow Wing County - Video
Residents are asked to flatten cardboard boxes, plastic containers, aluminum cans and metal cans in order to utilize as much space as possible in the bins.

Oil Drop-Off Site
Used Oil Drop-off is a free service for Crow Wing County residents. Residents may dispose of antifreeze for a fee of $1 per gallon and oil filters for 50¢ each.

Lead-Acid Batteries
Residents may dispose of lead-acid car and marine batteries free of charge at the Crow Wing County Landfill. Please keep batteries separate from other waste!
