Alarms
Registration Information
Crow Wing County Alarm Ordinance Number 1401 (PDF) requires all alarm systems to be registered and renewed annually with the Sheriff's Office. Registration assists responders in being able to contact homeowners quickly in the event of an emergency. It also eliminates the guesswork of who else to contact if the homeowner is unavailable.
The registration and renewal of your alarm system can be completed in 3 Easy Steps (PDF) online by visiting Crow Wing Alarms. After submitting your registration and renewals online, the Sheriff's Office will process the information and then email a confirmation. If you are unable to use the online system, you may register or renew by submitting a paper form and payment in-person or by mail. All alarm information is stored on a secure server accessible only to Sheriff’s Office staff.
As of 2022, there is no longer a fee associated with alarm registrations.
