ISD 182 and ISD 186 Special Elections

ISD 182 (Crosby-Ironton Schools) and ISD 186 (Pequot Lakes Public Schools) will be holding special elections on November 7, 2023.

Election Day Voting Polling Places

ISD 182 (Crosby-Ironton Schools) Election Day Combined Polling Places

Polling places will be open 12:00 p.m. - 8 p.m. on November 7, 2023, for the ISD 182 (Crosby-Ironton Schools) Special Election. On election day you must vote at your assigned polling place.  


Polling Places will be open 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on November 7, 2023, for the ISD 186 (Pequot Lakes Public Schools) Special Election. On election day you must vote at your assigned polling place.

Absentee Voting

Absentee Voting by Mail

Absentee ballots are available 45 days prior to the ISD 182 (Crosby-Ironton Schools) and ISD 186 (Pequot Lakes Public Schools) Special Elections beginning September 22nd. A completed and signed absentee ballot application (PDF) must be received before a ballot can be issued to a voter. Completed applications can be returned by mail, email or fax.

Completed absentee ballots must be returned to the Elections office no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 7th, in order to be counted.

Military or overseas voters can also vote by absentee ballot. More information can be found on the Minnesota Secretary of State vote from military or abroad.

Important Notice
To comply with USPS (post office) processing deadlines:

  • For applications received prior to 3 p.m. ballots will be mailed the same day.
  • For applications received after 3 p.m. ballots will be mailed the next business day.

Absentee Voting in Person

Voters may vote by absentee ballot in person during the 45 days absentee period at the Crow Wing County Elections Office, 2nd Floor, West Wing, Historic Courthouse, 326 Laurel Street, Brainerd, MN.

In person absentee voting hours are: 

  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday from September 22nd to November 6th
  • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, November 4th
